1. Introduction & Core Privacy Philosophy
At Schedulix ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe that your academic and personal schedules are private. Schedulix operates as a client-side-first web application. By default, all timetable data, subject names, faculty details, room numbers, and custom notes created in Schedulix reside solely within your browser’s LocalStorage.
2. Data We Collect & Store
- Local Browser Storage: Your active timetable structure, custom colors, period timings, and theme preferences (dark/light mode) are saved locally on your device via HTML5 LocalStorage. We do not transmit or sell this data.
- Export Processing: When you export your timetable to PDF, PNG, JPG, or CSV, the rendering engine runs entirely in your local browser JavaScript environment without uploading your timetable images to any external server.
- Anonymous Telemetry: We do not log personal timetable content or student identifiers.
3. URL Sharing & QR Codes
When you use the "Shareable URL" or "QR Code" feature, your timetable data is encoded directly into the URL fragment hash (e.g. #share=...). This encoded data is interpreted strictly by the recipient's browser. Schedulix servers do not store your schedule in order to generate URL share links.
4. Cookies and Local Storage Controls
Schedulix uses local storage rather than tracking cookies to preserve your work between browser sessions. You can clear your timetable cache at any time using the "Clear Grid" button in the app or by clearing your browser's site data.
5. Children's Privacy
Schedulix is designed for educational use by schools, teachers, and students of all ages. Because no personal information is collected or stored on remote servers, Schedulix complies with COPPA and global student privacy principles.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted directly on this page with an updated modification date.
